Jay Sarkar, Chief Financial Officer

Jay Sarkar has over 25 years of hospitality finance experience. He started his career with Tollman Hundley Hotels as property controller in their corporate office in Valhalla, New York. He also spent four years with Starwood Hotels in New York City. He worked with the W brands as well Sheraton New York. After departure from Starwood, he spent 12 years with Pyramid Hotel Group based out of Indianapolis and Chicago. In his last position with Pyramid, he was the regional controller for multiple full service hotels from Washington DC to Los Angeles. During his tenure with Pyramid, he also worked on due diligence and transition phase of new acquisitions. Prior to joining Meyer Jabara Hotels, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Stepstone Hospitality over eight years based out of Providence, Rhode Island.

Jay is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts. Jay earned a Masters of Business Administration from University of Phoenix. He also earned a bachelor degree in Accounting from Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, NY.

While he lived in Massachusetts, Jay was a board member / Treasurer for the Samaritans of Bristol County, MA, a call center for suicide prevention.
